Calling all Optometrist! Are you in the market for a full-time opportunity in the Austin area? Ideal Eye is looking for a well-rounded professional dedicated to a career of helping individuals see their world clearly.

This position is eligible for a Sign On Bonus of $5,000.

Ideal Eye is a well-known multi-practice with 11 locations in the Greater Austin area. The practice strives to deliver the ultimate eye care experience for all patients the moment they enter the facility. No matter the location, patients can expect a total eye care experience as the practice offers comprehensive eye exams, specialty contact lenses, and ocular eye disease diagnosis and treatment.

What you'll do:

You'll engage in full-scope optometry, catering to patients of all age groups and diverse visual and medical conditions. You'll provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages and visual and medical conditions, educate patients about their ocular health, and recommend vision-enhancing products. You can expect to see an average of 22 patients daily, working Monday through Friday. You can also expect to have a set patient demand as the small-town demographic is loyal to keeping business in the city of Lockhart.

You're excited to work alongside other optometrists to deliver top-notch care. As a valued team member, you'll provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, visual and medical conditions, educate patients about their ocular health, and recommend vision-enhancing products. Your skills enable you to leverage state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, ensuring the utmost precision in formulating treatment recommendations. The position is full-time, offering 40 hours weekly.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
