Storekeeper, Per Diem - Ronald Reagan Medical Center

Description

As a Storekeeper,you will be responsible for the receiving and
delivery of medical supplies and equipment within the Receiving Department of
the UCLA Health System Hospital and Clinics. You will perform duties such as,
but not limited to:




  • Receiving, stocking, and
    distribution of supplies
  • Sorting of supply deliveries
    separating inventory items from direct order items
  • Recording and maintaining
    appropriate inventory documentation
  • Delivering supplies and
    equipment to requesting departments according to delivery schedule
    procedures
  • Accurately processes packing
    slips, bills of lading, receiving reports, logs, and return goods memos
    utilizing the EMPAC Inventory system.



This is a "as needed" part-time per diem
position; schedule and work hours may vary.May convert to Career.

Salary
Range: $24.37- 24.37 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:



  • Ability to operate a 28ft box
    truck/University vehicle to deliver supplies to multiple off-site
    locations.
  • CA Driver's License (subject to
    DMV Pull)
  • Must be able to perform heavy
    manual tasks including pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds
    andlift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience using an Electric
    Pallet Jack, Manual Pallet Jack, Forklift, Furniture dollies, Supply
    Dollies, and Heavy-Duty transport carts.


  • Must be able to effectively
    communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in
    English.
  • Detail oriented, comfortable
    with entering data on handhelds or computers and eager to
    learn.
  • Must be able to perform basic
    mathematical calculationsfor accurate calculations of inventory
    replenishment, weight, units of measure, and package counts.
  • Ability to strictly obeys the
    healthcare regulations for infection control.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of
    materials management information system.
  • Maintains a positive attitude
    and behavior: efficient with time utilization/productive, strives to be a
    team member, prompt attitude, adapts to change in workload, adapts to
    variable rotating shifts.
  • Actively participate in
    required classes, workshops, and drills.



Preferred:



  • Inventory management experience
    in a hospital or clinic.
  • Experience in electronic
    ordering using a handheld utilizing a fully integrated supply chain
    fulfillment software such as Lawson.
