Position Overview

The System Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving computer systems, moving operational processes and communication online. System Engineers are often required to work outside standard hours to oversee upgrades or fixes, ensuring there is minimal interruption to business as usual. The ideal candidate for this position can prioritize mission critical tasks and coordinate the construction and expansion of our systems so updates and other maintenance tasks don't get in the way of daily operations.

Responsibilities
  • Defines application problem by conferring with customers; evaluating procedures and processes.
  • Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
  • Controls solution by establishing specifications; coordinating production with IT Business Analysts.
  • Validates results by utilizing testing programs.
  • Ensures operation by training client personnel; providing support.
  • Provides reference by writing documentation.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in complex systems design implementation and support.
  • Microsoft Certifications and/or Cisco Certifications are preferred but not required.

Pay Ranges
$65,979.00 - $109,965.00

This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer benefits, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Company-matching 401(k) in addition to other programs and perks.
