The opportunity

Job Summary:

Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking a Student Worker as Student Athletic Field Operations for our Campus location to assist the Athletic Operations Department in the day to day maintenance of the baseball, softball, Larkin, Stadium, and tennis courts. Will also assist in game setup, game management, and setups for external events. Students will learn the basics of field maintenance to create safe playing surfaces for games and practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Should have full knowledge of equipment and tools used for the job
  • Have the ability to train student workers on equipment use
  • Know the day to day tasks without needing instruction from full time staff
  • Rake, drag, mow, clay the baseball and softball fields
  • Leaf blow, turf groom, etc. at the stadium
  • Sucker vac and remove leaves from tennis courts
  • Help with snow removal of the athletic fields
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks for coaches and the department

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an Undergraduate or Graduate Day program at SNHU
  • Work Study as part of their financial aid package

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Landscaping experience
  • Can work as a team
  • Leadership skills
  • Enjoy being outdoors

Work Hours:

Various and Flexible hours based off game and event scheduling. Up to 20 hours a week.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
