The Senior Engineer, SDLC Infrastructure role is responsible for supporting and maintaining critical SDLC tooling and infrastructure used by our global engineering teams. As part of the larger team, this position helps to establish and enforce standards, recommend and implement solutions, and execute on a number of automation and infrastructure efforts. Responsibilities
- Administers the tools for build, release/deployment, monitoring and operations as well as troubleshoots and resolves issues.
- Assists in defining automated monitoring, deployment and repair strategies using a wide variety of Ops tools and monitoring platforms
- Makes sure build and deployment processes are following known best practices.
- Assists with the management and performance of the infrastructure and deployment of development tools for applications.
- Evaluates third party software tools and libraries for enterprise needs with risk management.
- Diagnoses, isolates, and debugs application problems and performs problem resolution.
- Monitors systems capacity and performance to allow for scaling of high performance as necessary.
- Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge and Experience
- Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Artifactory, UrbanCode or other similar tools
- Experience developing or supporting software applications and build tools
- Experience working in an environment that utilizes CI/CD processes
- Knowledge of source code control tools such as Git (GitLab, GitHub, BitBucket)
- Expertise with monitoring, alerting and incident response tools and performing root cause analysis
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop partnership-oriented relationships with business executives and functional leaders, especially as it relates to operations and technology
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within the enterprise or outside the organization (executives, regulators, clients, etc.)
- Results oriented, business focused, and successful at interfacing across multiple organizational
Desired
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience managing production operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications
- Moderate experience coding with any combination of Perl, Ruby, Bourne, Python, Java, API's, and others
- Experience with automation tools including but not limited to Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, Chef, Terraform, or similar
