Overview Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support our team at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities The Senior Project Engineer will manage engineering design efforts, which may be performed by internal and/or external engineering design teams, and will also manage design reviews and assure comments are implemented by facilitating the resolution of comments and ensure delivery of the design product. For all design efforts, this includes verification of complaint design delivery at each stage (i.e., 30/60/90/100 %). * Supervise the engineering activity (all disciplines) on a project, or designated portions of a project, for a global business unit. * Plan and direct engineering assignments on one or more projects. * Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments. Minimum Requirements Position typically requires a degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university; specialized courses in relevant general engineering, architectural design or an appropriate engineering discipline, and 12 or more years of progressive work experience, including supervision, preferably in project design engineering; may include other relevant types of engineering including startup, field engineering or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, process plants or engineering/construction firms. * Plan, forecast, and identify necessary engineering resources to support project workload requirements. Desired Qualifications * Current registration with a recognized state licensing board, like Professional Engineer (PE).
