Now Hiring!!! Math Teacher in a DMH Setting!

Are you ready to make a real impact in the lives of high-risk youth? As a Math Teacher you'll be working in the Department of Mental Health (DMH) settings, where your teaching will empower students to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

Salary, Schedule and Location

  • Pay: $55,329 - $78,363 + Benefits

  • Schedule: M-F, 7:30am - 3:30am, 185/186 days per year.

  • Location: Centerpoint IRTP (Tewksbury, MA)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized instruction: Develop and implement engaging lessons tailored to students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).\

  • Differentiated instruction: Create learning opportunities based on students' needs, integrating accommodations, modifications, and IEP goals.

  • Collaborate with DYS staff: Work alongside colleagues and agency representatives to support student development and improve outcomes.

  • Social-emotional support: Implement classroom-based social-emotional learning and transition planning to help students succeed beyond the classroom.

  • IEP monitoring and reporting: Track progress, evaluate student work, and contribute to IEP planning and progress reports.

  • Family engagement: Participate in evening family conferences and events to showcase student work and communicate progress.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Massachusetts teaching license in Mild-to-Moderate Disabilities (Grades 5-12).

  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching high-risk youth.

  • Master's Degree in education or a related field preferred, and multicultural/multilingual candidates are highly desirable.
