Standex Electronics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will design and implement LEAN manufacturing processes and systems to improve efficiency, quality, and eliminating waste. The manufacturing engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement standard work, to ensure balanced operation of Lean cells complete with daily visual management boards.

What You'll Do



  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to develop and implement solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to evaluate the potential impact of process improvements and investments.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes and capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process specifications.
  • Provide training and support to production personnel on new processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all manufacturing activities.
  • Create work instructions and other visual management tools. Proven experience in Lean manufacturing engineering or a related field, preferably in a production environment.


What You'll Bring



  • Degree in engineering, preferably in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
  • Proven experience in Lean manufacturing engineering or a related field, preferably in a production environment
