Job Type: RegularSenior Project Manager, Artificial Intelligence(AI) Capabilities Evaluation (ACE), TASP Center RAND's Technology and Security Policy Center (TASP)has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager. This role will support The AI Capabilities Evaluation (ACE) team at RAND analyzing the capabilities of frontier AI systems in diverse fields. Researchers from nonpartisan, nonprofit RAND and METR, an AI evaluation research nonprofit, will each contribute to the project, building on their collective expertise in misuse risk and AI system autonomy, respectively. The project will focus on developing cutting-edge science, methodology, and tools to evaluate how risks from AI systems might manifest, and conducting predeployment evaluations of each new generation of frontier AI systems. The TASP center is at the forefront of analyzing the impact of high-consequence, dual-use technologies-such as artificial intelligence and biotechnology-on global competition and security. TASP is dedicated to developing policy and technological solutions to enhance the competitiveness and security of the United States, its allies and partners, and the world. Responsibilities Include

Education Minimum: Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred. Experience 8 years minimum, 10 years preferred. Security Clearance US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance. Ability to obtain clearance is not required but preferred. Location Washington DC (preferred), Pittsburgh, PA; Santa Monica, CA, or Boston, MA. While a hybrid/flex work arrangement is preferred, fully remote work may be considered within the United States. Salary range: $100,100 - $179,700 Project Manager III$100,100-$152,400 Project Manager IV$117,700-$179,700 RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity.The salary range includes base pay plus RAND's sabbatic pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken).
