About the Role

The TecSa Engineer leads local technical cleanliness objectives for the Florence, South Carolina plant. The technical cleanliness engineer will work with Project Planning, Process Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain departments to incorporate appropriate technical cleanliness mindsets to new plant construction, equipment design, and quality monitoring plans.

What You Will Do
  • Lead technical cleanliness activities with coordination across multiple plants while participating in OEM working groups for alignment.
  • Assist with the company wide technical cleanliness strategy implementation to achieve company targets and quality standards.
  • Aid in setting monitoring standards for technical cleanliness within production and promote culture of technical cleanliness within the region.
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues and provide alternative solutions as necessary. Influence leadership on specific recommendations for current operations and future development.
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality systems and products by ensuring functionality meets document specifications, product requirements, and organizational goals.
  • Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders and champion continuous improvement initiatives across the company product portfolio.
  • Produce quality metrics, testing results, and other reports for all levels of management.
  • Ability to clearly understand manufacturing concerns, write descriptions of concerns and relay details of manufacturing issues to engineers and managers.
  • Ability to analyze issues and make recommendations for countermeasure implementations.
What You Need
  • Bachelor's Degree in chemical, mechanical, material science and engineering; Master's Degree desired with research experience in renewable resources, storage system or green technologies.
  • 1-3 years of working experience in a GMP regulated environment within renewable energy equipment manufacturing, biotechnology, medical device, pharmaceutical, semiconductors, electronics, or any cleanroom validation and contamination control activities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, any statistical analysis software
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
What is "Nice to Have"?
  • Research experience within battery storage systems, smart materials
  • Hands-on experience in using physical chemistry and/or analytical chemistry equipment and metrologies.
  • Strong technical review and writing background.
  • Experience in cleanroom or controlled environments
  • Awareness of battery production and process impacts of contamination.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14644 for cleanrooms and controlled environments
  • Working knowledge of VDA 19 Part 1 and 2
  • Awareness of ISO 16232 for the cleanliness of components of fluid circuits in road vehicles
  • Awareness of ZVEI guidelines for technical cleanliness in electrical engineering

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic.
