Responsibilities
Summary The Program Manager, In-Prison provides oversight of all substance abuse disorder services, prevention through aftercare (including alumni services) and provides clinical supervision to substance use disorder program staff. Maintains good customer relations, develops new business opportunities, monitors adherence to budgets, and ensures contract compliance. Learns, uses, and models principles of the "What Works" system through evidence-based practices in all interactions with clients and other staff members. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- The Program Manager, In-Prison oversees the implementation of all operational service provision and documentation functions for offices within a specific state or region.
- Ensures that all qualified staff are utilized to provide services to participants in accordance with allowable counselor-to-program participant staffing ratios.
- The Program Manager, In-Prison assists Lead Counselors, when necessary, with clinical supervision of staff and clinical oversight and clinical care of all substance abuse services provided within a specific state or region.
- Ensures that programs function in a manner that satisfies contractual obligations.
- The Program Manager, In-Prison develops timely accurate reports on the status of program operations for customers and executive management.
- Monitors programmatic systems and procedures to achieve and maintain optimal effectiveness of operational programs.
- The Program Manager, In-Prison works to achieve continual improvement in customer service and outcomes.
- Develops and approves recommendations for annual operational budgets in conjunction with appropriate administrators. Distributes resources appropriately to attain program goals.
- The Program Manager, In-Prison develops staffing plans that are compatible with program budgets and goals.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- The Program Manager, In-Prison maintains on-gong communication with customers to develop and enhance positive relationships and promote Company products and services.
- Responsible for providing limited oversight of neighboring Everglades Correctional Institution, walking distance (adjacent) to Everglades Reentry Center.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related field (Master's Degree preferred.)
- Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor by the State of Florida Board of Mental Health Counseling, preferred.
- Must meet the standards of a "Qualified Professional" in accordance with Chapter 397, F.S.
- Certified Addictions Professional (CAP), Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJAP), Certified Associate Addictions Professional (CAAP), Certified Criminal Justice Associate Addictions Professional (CCJAAP);
- Five (5) years of professional experience in substance abuse and/or mental health treatment.
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
- Preference given to experience within a correctional setting.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group counseling settings.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a team of professionals and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.

Facility Overview
GEO Reentry Services offers correctional agencies in-custody treatment programs for individuals nearing the end of their jail or prison sentences. Starting treatment before they are released back into the community facilitates consistency in treatment and helps individuals be better prepared for their transition to the community. By assessing an individual's risk and needs and initiating programming while in prison, the transition to a community-based program is seamless and behavior change is expedited.
