With now three physical branches in St Petersburg, Winter Park and Mount Dora and one digital branch, we are offering a full suite of banking products including personal and business banking and loan products (solar, residential, commercial, SBA and more). Come join our team as our Public Relations Intern. This remote internship will support the PR department with the sourcing and management of local and national award nominations and submissions, media research and database management, and will help gather information as needed to support all PR efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Award Submissions- Proactively source and catalog relevant awards incl. submission requirements and submission deadlines. Develop a submission calendar for recurring annual awards. Support the submission process by liaising with the appropriate stakeholders and exercising diligent follow up as needed.
  • Media Research- Support the research of local and national media outlets and contact information and catalog them for future use and reference.
  • Database Management- Support the department operations and efficiency through diligent database management as directed.
  • General Research and Support- Provide routine and project-based support, research and reporting assistance as needed and assigned.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in college in a related field of study.
  • Exceptional writing and communications skills.
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, creative and organized self-starter.
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt and thrive in a fast-paced organization with ever-changing priorities.
  • Professional and positive demeanor.
  • Adopt and practice a commitment to social, economic, environmental, and racial justice.
  • Demonstrate interest in contributing to and working by Climate First Bank's Core Values.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of and follow established Bank policies, procedures, and regulations, cognizant of transactions, inquiries that appear suspicious, obtaining reasonable and verifiable explanations, notifying the Compliance Officer when necessary; completion of all web-based compliance training; resolution of all issues concerning BSA report reviews of suspicious activity and or cash transactions.

Physical Demands:

Sustained standing and sitting;

Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor;

Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
