What you'll be doing:

  • Operate test resources and conduct all mission events IAW government-provided program test plans, safety plans, schedules, procedures, and/or annexes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test resource issues in the field in real-time as required to meet mission needs.
  • Collect, record, and verify data; including identifying measurement and data uncertainties and providing data analysis recommendations to the Government.
  • Report any mission failures, problems, or discrepancies to the Test Conductor as soon as they are discovered.
  • Provide test and maintenance services in support of mission requirements.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance for test resources.
  • Provide preventative maintenance on all Squadron Issued Equipment IAW the manufacturer's recommendations or more frequently if warranted by environmental conditions.
  • Resolve and document test resource failures and/or deficiencies IAW Section 4.2.4.6, Deficiency Report.
  • Fabricate cables, build and assemble systems, and integrate subsystems.
  • Perform validation checks to ensure systems are, to the maximum extent possible, on a common SW baseline as directed by the government.
  • Inspect the condition of vehicles before and after each use. Coordinate with the Squadron Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) when general vehicle maintenance needs to be performed.
  • Schedule, take, and pick up vehicles to/from maintenance facilities as required.
  • Clean and service ALL vehicles utilized for the mission within two duty days of mission completion.
  • Complete ALL AF Form 1800s, Operator's Inspection Guide and Trouble Report, and IAW AF policies and directives.
  • Report all vehicle discrepancies to the COR and Squadron VCO within one duty day of observed discrepancy.
  • Operate all support vehicles, including vehicles over 26,000 pounds, and/or tow a trailer over 10,000 pounds.
  • Alternative work schedules may be required.

Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance
Education: High School Diploma
Years of experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience

  • Driving large vehicles and towing equipment
  • Ability to travel frequently up to 40%
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Mechanical and safety aptitude

Preferred Experience:

  • 4+ years related experience
  • Experience supporting the Air Force customer
