The Manager will lead a talented team of 10 SDET professionals, driving forward our mission to deliver excellence in sound. As the Manager, SDET, you will have the unique opportunity to inspire and lead a team through the exciting landscape of audio technology testing, using AI-driven approaches to revolutionize how we ensure quality and reliability. Reporting directly to the Director of Testing, you will be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge testing methodologies and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

This role will be Hybrid based out of our Niles, IL Corporate HQ.



Responsibilities

    AI Integration and Test Automation: Drive the integration of AI technologies and test automation tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of software testing processes.
  • Best Practice Implementation: Bring industry-leading practices for automated test case development, ensuring the highest quality standards are followed.
  • Hands-on Expertise: Your hands-on expertise should reflect a deep understanding of the unique challenges and considerations in automating tests for mobile applications, web user interfaces, embedded systems, and desktop applications. You should be able to showcase your ability to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts efficiently and effectively across these diverse areas.
  • Strategic Test Script Generation: Develop and implement advanced test script generation techniques, leveraging AI algorithms to set new standards in software testing.
  • Analytical Expertise: Utilize strong analytical skills to dissect complex systems, understand software requirements, and create superior test strategies.
  • Problem-Solving Leadership: Exhibit exceptional problem-solving abilities, identifying, diagnosing, and resolving testing challenges to ensure software reliability.
  • Inspirational Team Management: Lead, motivate, and mentor your team, fostering an environment of growth, innovation, and excellence.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: Ensure the creation, execution, and review of test cases adhere to rigorous quality standards, maintaining our commitment to software excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in mobile testing frameworks such as Appium or Espresso.
  • Proficient in automating web user interfaces across multiple browsers on both PC and Mac platforms. Proficiency in scripting and executing automated tests using frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver or Cypress.
  • Proficiency in using automation tools and frameworks specific to PC and Mac platforms, such as WinAppDriver or AppleScript.
  • Familiarity with relevant tools and frameworks used in the embedded systems domain, such as Warrior Framework or Robot Framework. Ability to write efficient and reliable automated test scripts using scripting languages like Python or C++.

  • Proficiency in AI technologies and their application in software testing.
  • Extensive experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing large teams and complex projects.
  • Strong technical background in software development, AI, and test automation tools.
