Position Title: Academic Advisor: Success Coach The Success Coaching program will operate under the umbrella of the Parkside Academic Resource Center (PARC) which also provides academic tutoring, writing assistance, supplemental instruction, and peer support. The Executive Director of Advising & Academic Support oversees the Advising & Career Center, PARC, and Student Support Services (TRiO). The staff in these departments work collaboratively to promote academic achievement while students are in school as well as career preparation for post-graduation success. The Success Coach will also work closely with colleagues in Admissions, New Student Services & First Year Programs, Financial Aid, Registrar's Office, Dean of Students Office, and the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs. *PARC is looking to fill 2 Academic Advisor Positions. The Success Coach will provide transitional support for first-year and transfer students from admissions through their first year of enrollment. The Success Coaching program is a part of the University-wide student development initiative focused on increasing matriculation, retention, and graduation rates. The Success Coach will provide one-on-one and group support sessions aimed at building a sense of belonging, developing resiliency, and providing connections to campus and community resources for students in order to promote persistence and academic success leading to graduation.
