The Role: EVS Shift Manager

Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two-three years of supervisory experience in EVS or related field.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Knowledge and experience of cleaning products and/or equipment necessary to successfully perform job.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven history of success in a demanding environment


License Requirements:

Rhode Island Department of Business Regulations Gaming License

Responsibilities:



  • Scheduling for correct coverage.
  • Responsible for distributing keys and supplies to the staff on assigned shift; make sure equipment is signed out/in properly at beginning and end of shift and ensure the proper use of supplies and equipment at all times.
  • Set cleaning schedules.
  • Continuously monitor all EVS operations to ensure team members are in their assigned areas; check to make sure the project people have proper supplies and equipment to complete the job.
  • Check to make sure team members leave and return at proper assigned times for breaks.
  • Train all team members in the proper techniques of using chemicals; make sure all bottles are labeled properly and ensure chemical bottles have proper chemical labels.
  • Maintain all work areas and ensure equipment is free of safety violations; report any hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately.
  • Responsible for team members complying with established safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
  • Make recommendations and suggestions to hire, transfer, promote, reward, discipline, evaluate, and discharge team members on assigned shift.


  • Responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies inventories.


Physical/Mental Requirements:



  • Constant standing, walking, using hands to finger, handling or feeling objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Occasionally sit, climb, balance, and lift and/or moving up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to complete essential functions in a fast paced, stressful environment


Working Conditions:



  • Work with or near moving mechanical parts; occasionally in outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • Constantly hot, cold, noisy, wet, dry, dirty, smoky, and dusty.

Target Salary Range: ($55,000 per year)
