- Sets up and runs turret and press brake machinery in the metal fabrication shop (without assistance).
- Performs routine maintenance tasks on machinery such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure optimal performance; follows manufacturer's instructions to troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine the required specifications for each job.
- Selects and installs the appropriate tooling, dies, and machinery settings for each bending operation.
- Inspects finished products and parts by comparing them with blueprints and boundary samples; documents and notifies quality control and/or supervisor of any discrepancies or nonconformances; performs First Piece Inspection as required; accurately uses all measuring devices in the metal fabrication shop.
- Reviews bill of materials and checks material measurements and thickness for accuracy.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives with efficient and cost-conscientious use of labor and materials.
- Performs receiving duties of materials including but not limited to unloading, counting and inspections.
- Understands the lock out/tag out procedures and uses when appropriate.
- Notes any changes and/or recommendations needed for future production runs.
- Follows safety protocols and maintains a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- 2-3 years of prior experience operating various machinery and equipment to fabricate metal parts.
- Ability to read and interpret two-dimensional blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in operating CNC machines, hand tools, and measuring devices such as scales, calipers, and protractors.
- Strong math skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience working in construction or manufacturing industry, preferred.

- Must be able to pass pre-employment checks including a Drug Screen and Criminal Background.
