Overview

DecisionPoint is seeking a Senior Health Science Evaluator - Data Analyst to join our team in Atlanta providing On-demand operational, technical, and scientific subject matter expertise support that addresses response-related requirements enabling CDC to rapidly expand its capacity to respond to public health emergencies.

The Division of Emergency Operations (DEO), with support of the Office of Readiness and Response (ORR), is actively working to enhance and augment CDC's approach to preparedness and response for Public Health Emergencies which supports the development and implementation of the CDCReady Responder Program.

This is 100% onsite position.



Duties & Responsibilities

    Supports DMI integration efforts to develop, populate, and integrate data pipelines, repositories, and automated enterprise services supporting data visualization and analysis.
  • Performs data management for emergency response and future graduated response events.
  • Provided direct scientific support to scientific response task forces and cross-jurisdictional partners in delivering analytical reporting necessary to support operational, emergency management, and business support activities, which if not performed, would significantly and negatively impact the ability of the agency to meet its public health mission.
  • Supports the development of flexible and scalable foundational infrastructure that allows for real-time data collection and transmission from labs, hospitals, emergency departments, and other sources (vaccine, demographic) to support public health emergencies, while reducing the burden on data providers.
  • To support scalability for epidemiological, analytical, and visualization requirements for current and future emerging public health events.
  • Uses advanced analytical capabilities and strong data management skills to support full data lifecycle functionality within the public health discipline.
  • Provide data modeling, AI, and forecasting services supporting the current and future all-hazards public health emergency response.
  • Provide data analytic and technical services to support data management and analytical functions supporting the current and future all-hazards public health emergency responses.
  • Provides functional or technical support to integrate processes, capabilities, and services to automate agency and cross-jurisdictional data pipelines to collect core data required for epidemiological analysis and reporting.


Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD
  • 8 years of work experience.
  • Public Trust Clearance.
  • Documented experience or certification in applying ArcGIS or equivalent Geospatial tools.
  • Experience in Emergency Management supporting public health response is desired.
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Mail)
  • Ability to effectively communicate needs at all briefings to assist with operational strategy.
  • Ability to identify gaps in existing resources.
  • Ability to multitask in emergency situations.
  • Ability to be flexible with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Interpersonal communication: telephone, email, and business etiquette.
  • Strong proofreading skill and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
