Purpose:

Responsible for defining, implementing, and supporting the technical architecture for MS Azure and Office 365 environments for the company, in partnership with the Chief Architect and other technical leaders. The overall goal is to increase scalability, reliability, and performance of the cloud services in scope to provide a best-in-class Information Services experience to both internal and external stakeholders. The organization has a strong focus on managing through automation, site reliability, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Must have experience with:
  1. on-prem to cloud migrations (Azure mandatory & AWS is a plus).
  2. cloud security, understanding and optimizing operational costs and have expertise in overall cloud performance and reliability.
  3. Office 365 (enterprise products and services associated with these products: MS Exchange, SharePoint Online, Active Directory and MS Entra, MS Teams, and related cloud products)
  • Job Description
    1. Architect and design solutions that are scalable, highly available, automated, and meet all required security controls and best practices.
    2. Implement solutions using Infrastructure as as a service (Virtual Machines), Platform as a Service (Serverless Functions, Object Storage, and other Cloud Technologies).
    3. Manage Cloud Accounts, Organizations, and Tenants.
    4. Write Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and like scripts.
    5. Design and implement automation tools and related infrastructure.
    6. Analyze current technology and develop roadmaps and backlog to improve the technology or replace as appropriate.
    7. Maintain applications and systems through recurring security patching adhering to the companyvulnerability management standards.
    8. Analyze and determine root cause for management of complex application or system issues.
    9. Collaborate with project management teams to support the estimation and progress monitoring of cloud services activities in support of the companyinitiatives.
    10. Representarea of responsibility as a core member of the Architecture Review Board
    11. Work closely with other Information Services associates to maintain hardware and software for projects to be completed efficiently.
  • Non-negotiables
    1. Hospital and Banking (Regulated industry - experience with audits)
    2. Strong understanding of Cloud Computing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS fundamentals with experience designing and implementing solutions.
    3. Experience in DevOps Methodologies / Knowledge of DevOps Tools and Technologies
    4. Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash/Shell, and related technologies
    5. Automation First Mindset
    6. Advanced Linux and Windows server platform expertise
    7. Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
    8. Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
