POSITION

As a Stewardship Analyst at Allspring Global Investments, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a team in the fields of ESG engagement and corporate governance. Collaborating with portfolio managers and analysts, you will play a critical role in planning and implementing ESG engagements, as well as making valuable contributions to our proxy voting process.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Take the lead in conducting ESG engagements with select investee companies on material ESG issues. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong relationships will enable you to drive meaningful conversations.
  • Prepare engagement prep notes, meeting notes, case studies, and contribute to our stewardship reports. Your flawless writing skills will ensure the highest quality of our reports.
  • Take charge of the daily workflow for assigned parts of the proxy process during the proxy season. Your attention to detail and multitasking abilities will be crucial for ensuring smooth execution.
  • Develop strong relationships with portfolio managers, investment analysts, client service representatives, legal professionals, compliance experts, and third-party technology relationship managers. Through close collaboration with these teams, successfully implement strategies and achieve favorable results.
  • Provide valuable feedback and recommendations to continuously improve processes and mitigate risks. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will drive operational excellence.
  • Actively participate in institutional client operational due diligence requests and complete questionnaires. Effectively communicate and articulate complex issues to ensure client satisfaction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • 3+ plus years of stewardship, proxy or investment experience
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Effective management of multipole tasks and prioritization of responsibilities
  • Strong multitasking skills to handle various responsibilities simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Prior experience in the asset management industry, particularly in proxy, corporate governance, or stewardship, will be highly valued.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and execution excellence, always seeking ways to enhance our processes and deliver exceptional results.
  • Thoughtful and decisive style to negotiate critical issue resolutions effectively.
  • Strong time management, analytical, and organizational skills contributing to success in this role.
  • Articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management for successful outcomes.
  • Crucial ability to work effectively in a team environment for collaborative success.


Base Pay Range: $100,000 - $140,000

Salary Range for California candidates only.Actual based may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
