POSITION

Allspring Global Investments is seeking an RIA Enterprise Relationship Consultant (ERC). ERCs cover strategically important RIAs in the Intermediary Sales channel and are responsible for driving sales of Allspring's mutual funds, separately managed accounts, direct indexing, money funds and DCIO business at Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs).

ERCs are expected to exhibit leadership in various ways: by guiding client firms, actively participating in the community, and leading their colleagues. ERCs establish themselves as reliable sources for their clients, providing market insight, asset management solutions, and practice management solutions. Additionally, ERCs consistently share effective strategies and serve as role models, offering guidance and seizing opportunities to share their knowledge and expertise within the organization.

ERCs sales achievement success will be driven by several factors such as: client service model, segmentation strategy, effectiveness at point of sale, consistency, and focusing on the right products, advisors, and firms. ERCs take a consultative approach at every meeting and are expected to consistently have top tier activity exceeding their weekly, monthly, and annual activity target metrics. ERCs are expected to have a diverse mix of business that represents asset allocation, fixed income, and equities. They are also expected to provide "best in class" resources to their clients.

ERCs are responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with key centers of influence, business leaders and top advisors to provide portfolio consultation and product solutions for internal and external investment distribution channels. Finally, ERCs consistently asks for business and closes sales opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Collaborating with sales management to provide feedback and insights on trends in the industry and market demands on our Advisor clients.
  • Achieving top tier market share at the territory level, at Allspring's focus RIAs, and in their focus products.
  • Providing updates on what the Client Firms own and discussing best investment strategies and business management ideas.
  • Excelling in leaning in on specific asset classes, earning the right to compete for a spot, and delivering exceptionally on proposals.
  • Collaborating with external speakers, portfolio managers, and product specialists throughout the year.
  • Building strong relationships with influential local organizations to enhance and expand existing networks, providing clients with greater access to sales opportunities.
  • Developing strategies to enter untapped markets and strengthen current partnerships to enhance the competitiveness of our products.
  • Partnering with home office platform investment strategy consultants and key accounts relationship managers to ensure execution on strategies with key internal and external distribution channels.
  • Collaborating with the RIA sales team to implement our distribution strategy for platform and placement opportunities. Assessing the most suitable client and Allspring coverage areas for RIA sales.
  • Partner with B/D counterparts as an RIA specialist when existing clients move to, or build their own, RIA.
  • Achieving excellence by consistently exhibiting work behaviors that align with high performance standards, and actively working towards the achievement of business unit goals in the most ethical and efficient manner.
  • Partner with Head of RIA Enterprise, Marketing, Distribution, Investment and Platform teams to create, promote, modify and grow a differentiated offering in the RIA marketplace.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • 5 years minimum of sales experience required bringing experienced relationships and sales success with top RIAs.
  • Experience exceeding established performance goals.
  • Solid knowledge of industry-specific needs, constraints, and opportunities for wealth and investment management.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or 66)
  • Live in territory
  • A drive to achieve with a focus on delivering exceptional service, high motivation, a sense of urgency, a dedication to hard work, an innovative approach to business within a large public company, and a passion for building a successful enterprise. The capability, influence, and trustworthiness to foster agreement across Allspring in order to develop innovative solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Excellent relationship building skills coupled with the ability to work effectively in a team environment where strong independent thinking skills are important.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities - exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation & facilitation skills.
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time.
  • Equivalent experience in addition to a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation is preferred.



Base Pay Range: $145,000 - $155,000

Salary Range for NYC candidates only.Actual based may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
