The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Reporting and Analytics Analyst 3 position. A successful applicant may engage in work designated as quality improvement or applied health services and population health research in a team-oriented and project-based setting. Responsibilities for the successful applicant are project-specific and may include combinations of the following: assists with or leads data analysis and measure construction using administrative data such as electronic health record (EHR) and Medicaid claims extracts or primary data such as that from population health surveys; assists with or leads development and maintenance of advanced interactive data visualizations using R Shiny and/or Tableau; composes reports, whitepapers, and presentation materials; presents results to team members and other audiences; reviews work products from subcontractors; conducts literature searches and literature reviews; assists with the development of protocols and the composition of institutional review board (IRB) applications; and designs data collection instruments including questionnaires and clinical data collection forms. A Reporting and Analytics Analyst 3 is expected to perform mainly technical skill tasks, but in somecases may also contribute toprojectleadershipand administration. They are expected to complete work independently on tasks with moderate complexity while assisting or completing advanced complexity tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight. They are expected to have excellent communication skills to support consensus building, serving as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues, and communicating technical information to non-technical audiences. A Reporting and Analytics Analyst 3 typically works on 3-5projects at a time and has significant project responsibilities. Minimum Education Required: Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required. Required Qualifications: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 2 years of relevant research experience with an advanced degree is required. Demonstrable experience with the R statistical computing environment for data preparation and analysis with consideration for team-based code development is required. Some experience developing interactive data visualizations is required. Successful completion of a background check is required. Additional Desired Qualifications: Experience developing data pipelines including probabilistic linkages across data sets from varying sources. Experience in applied health services or population health research is desirable. Experience with SQL or statistical analysis is desirable.
