Summary of Position
This position will be responsible for administration and leadership of the Institute on Disability's Children's Behavioral Health team, in collaboration with the current director. This includes supporting and developing local, state, and federal grants and contracts in children's behavioral health, creating a research agenda, strategic planning, membership on the IOD CBH Leadership Team, program evaluation, and engaging in training and technical assistance, as appropriate. The position will also involve teaching and oversight of undergraduate and graduate level interns. Funding for this position is awarded through existing grants and contracts. The successful candidate will be expected to secure research/training funding to support the remainder of their annual salary. The Assistant Research Professor will join the IOD's multi-disciplinary team of faculty.

Work location for this position is Durham, NH with occasional travel to Concord, NH. This position may be eligible for hybrid work, with frequently required travel to UNH locations. Valid driver's license or ability to travel to multiple work locations as assigned.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Health professional with an earned doctorate in one of the required core disciplines (social work, psychology, education, public health, mental health, behavioral health, or related discipline). Demonstrated skills in planning, coordination, and administration of a major federally funded project, with three (3) or more years of experience in programs serving children, youth, and families in the behavioral health field, child welfare, or education. Must have direct experience with children's system of care and youth transition preferred.

Must meet the university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Research Professor. Research Assistant Professor shall have completed formal advanced study appropriate to their filed and shall have demonstrated success in carrying out externally funded research. Documented experience successfully managing federal and or state grants and contracts.

Documented record of external funding support through grants, contracts, and fee for service. Demonstrated success in research design and data analysis, academic instruction, advising and mentoring graduate students, and providing service to the university and profession.

Must show excellence in, or a demonstrated commitment to, working with diverse populations including individuals with lived experience, their families, and other related stakeholders.

Documented commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through research, service, teaching or volunteerism.

High degree of self-motivation initiative, and ability to work both independently and with diverse constituencies.

Willingness to travel is required, both regionally and nationally. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ongoing supervisory experience and high-level management skills which includes support employees at multiple levels.
