Job Summary
Responsible for developing business with current and prospective Hispanic customers in order to expand existing relationships and acquire new customers. Represents the bank in community initiatives and ensures the bank's visibility in all aspects of the community promoting a favorable image. Assist with coordinating advertising, promotional programs, and public relations.
May also assist with treasury management services or in evaluating creditworthiness of customers or potential customers.
Responsibilities
Business Development
- Routinely calls on customers of the bank to service and retain business; coordinates with lending and deposit personnel in this regard.
- Routinely seeks to identify prospective new loan and deposit customers within assigned market; coordinates with lending and deposit personnel and calls on prospects.
- Partners with the Marketing Director to coordinate and oversee advertising, programs, and promotions within assigned market.
- Provides reporting to Market President and/or Regional President of all activities.
Community Involvement
- Identifies opportunities for bank personnel to participate in community and civic events to increase the bank's exposure and enhance the bank's reputation in the community; coordinates such events.
- Reviews and obtains approval for all donation/sponsorship requests for assigned market.
- Provides quarterly reports to the Regional Board of Directors of all activities.
CRA Coordination
- Serves as a liaison between SBB's CRA Coordinator and the employees of within assigned market and the local community.
- Identifies and advocating viable CRA/community development loans, products and services.
- Assists in monitoring CRA performance to ensure a satisfactory level is maintained.
- Submits needed data to SBB's CRA Coordinator and responding to follow up questions and comments.
- Provides training to appropriate bank staff regarding CRA compliance and goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional area of responsibilities may also include one of following:
Credit Evaluation
- Assists lenders in evaluating the creditworthiness and repayment capacity of borrowers or potential borrowers by compiling computer generated cash flow spreads and a summary of those spreads.
- Utilizes Baker Hill cash flow software to spread financial information provided by customers for lenders to assist them in analyzing loan requests.
Treasury Management
- Focuses on building new client relationships
- Provides support and services for existing treasury management customers
- Acts as liaison on treasury communications and matters ensuring appropriate and timely action for treasury management sales and/or client services.
- Maintains knowledge and training that affects treasury management sales and client services
Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two years secondary education and/or extensive experience in a banking environment.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Must speak Spanish fluently
- Demonstrated proficiency in banking compliance issues is required along with computer literacy.
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Must possess and maintain current and valid driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
- Ability to travel throughout market for various meetings and appointments
- Requires great attention to detail, ability to recall and good organizational skills.
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment.
