The FOX Studio Lot is looking for a Busser/Server to join their team!

All shifts have variable hours from week to week and are subject to change depending on business needs. Hires are not guaranteed 40 hours per week.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Bus Person

  • Busses and cleans tables
  • Runs food for food stations
  • Maintains cleanliness and organizes indoor & outdoor dining area, food station, beverage stations, condiment stations, and other relevant food services equipment
  • Prepares, delivers, sets-up catering orders, delivery/pick-up orders
  • Sets up and restocks cafeteria with beverages, food items, dining supplies and equipment
  • Stocks and organizes supplies, delivery stations and storage rooms
  • Restocks ice
  • Moves, lifts, and cleans chairs and tables, as needed
  • Disposes trash
  • Other duties as assigned

Dining Room Bus Person

  • Communicates with and assists managers and food servers to maintain service efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Maintains cleanliness and restocks/ organizes the front of the house area
  • Prepares beverages required for lunch service
  • Serves water, beverages, bread, butter/ dip, crudite to guests and provides refills as needed
  • Removes dirty dishes and utensils from tables between courses
  • Clears and cleans tables after guests leave and re-sets vacated tables
  • Returns dirty dishes, silverware, glassware to dishwashing area
  • Assists servers in serving hot beverages
  • Moves/ Lifts chairs and tables as needed
  • Responsible for assigned side work duties for the Commissary Dining Room
  • Other duties as assigned

Server

  • Holds strictly to current health & safety standards set in place by the LA Department of Health
  • Works with the team to maintain a positive dining experience for the guests
  • Menu knowledge: Is expected to know the method of preparation, primary ingredients, portion sizes, serving temperatures, quality standards, appearance, texture, taste, garnish and presentation for all menu items and daily specials
  • Knows table numbers, seat positions and station numbers
  • Ensures that assigned tables are clean, polished, and correctly set-up with proper china, glassware, silver, and linen
  • Continually cleans and maintains tables and station in a neat and orderly manner
  • Takes food and beverage orders of guests in the prescribed manner, ensuring all requests are understood, entering the orders in the POS system accurately, and communicating the orders appropriately to the back of the house, in a timely manner
  • Maintains regular check-backs with the guests to ensure that guests' needs, and concerns are immediately addressed
  • Maintains proper etiquette for table service
  • Immediately relays guest and/or staff accidents, complaints, comments, or compliments to the manager on duty
  • Completes all assigned side work duties, prior, during and after shift
  • Works special events as necessary
  • Other duties, as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Presents a professional, clean, and neat appearance
  • Previous relevant experience as a server in a formal dining room
  • Strong customer service background
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to lift and carry heavy objects, including food trays
  • Able to stand for periods of up to 4 hours and able to bend and stoop on occasion

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Bartending and/or Catering experience
  • POS System Experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $23.50-23.50 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
