As a Strategy and Business Operations Lead, you are unafraid of navigating through necessary internal processes to facilitate a product you deeply believe in. You can absorb and act on complex procedures and data and train your team or peers if needed. You take pride in getting things done quickly without sacrificing safety or quality.

You will collaborate with our segment director of strategy and business operations to partner on initiatives within segment program/portfolio management and IT systems. In this role you will get to partner with both global and segment for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our digital applications and solutions are implemented in a timely manner.

What you'll be doing
  • Partner with segment leadership on the implementation of digital transformation projects, including software development, implementation of new technologies, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, product management, engineering, and business partners, to understand segment quality objectives and requirements
  • Implement and execute quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions
  • Provide metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure appropriate data is available to measure the effectiveness of quality assurance efforts and track progress
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential areas for improvement in digital systems, processes, and workflows and partner with IT as needed based upon the system architecture
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality assurance and digital transformation
  • Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and consultants to tap into expertise and resources for digital transformation initiatives
  • Drive a culture of quality and innovation, fostering collaboration, creativity, and accountability across the organization
  • Up to 25% travel worldwide
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance or quality systems management within the pharmaceutical OR medical device industry, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience in project management
  • Thorough knowledge of drug regulations and standards
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Good interpersonal/communication/influencing/negotiation skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Ability to analyze risk and make decisions

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 - $176,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or long-term incentive.
