What you'll do

Docusign has recently consolidated our financial systems to the Oracle Cloud ERP, Procurement and Subscription Management suite of applications. We are in the process of scaling our finance applications further and rolling out ERP globally to support Docusign's growth and new business models.

As the Lead Technical Architect for Finance Product Engineering, you will be responsible for working jointly with the Business Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Applications Product Management, Program Management, Docusign Product, Data and Integration teams to provide technology roadmaps and solutions to scale the quote to cash and finance processes.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Applications.

Responsibility

  • Partner with multi-functional collaborators to model and design technology solutions that improve Docusign's Quote to Cash and core finance processes and systems
  • Gain a deep understanding of the customer journey, enable product functionality and/or other innovative solutions to scale the quote to cash and finance system capabilities to meet Docusign's new business models and growth
  • Prepare the technical architecture, business and system flows and technical design
  • Design and develop custom extensions and assist with solving issues and providing appropriate solutions
  • Use deep technical understanding of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure platform and licensing
  • Negotiate IT commitments, business benefits, technology options, cost and constraints, and propose alternative solutions to the business and other IT teams
  • Define and track key product metrics and use data to make informed product decisions
  • Build and maintain technology roadmaps and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging technologies in the finance applications space

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information systems or other related field
  • IT/ERP experience
  • 12+ years of hands on techno-functional experience in business analysis, technical design, configurations, custom code development and end to end implementation of Tier 1 ERP solutions
  • Experience on Oracle ERP Cloud specifically in one or more of the following Oracle modules: Subscription Management, Accounts Receivable, Production Information Management, Pricing, Accounts Receivable, Advanced Collections, Revenue Management, Bill Management, and General Ledger
  • 5+ years of building application technical architecture, roadmaps, defining and measuring key performance indicators, presenting solutions to a cropartnersl team of stakeholders
  • Deep understanding and experience on Quote to Cash processes and systems including Salesforce, CPQ, Provisioning, Billing, Collections and Revenue Recognition, particularly for a SaaS based global organization with a subscription business model
  • Deep understanding and experience on Oracle cloud APIs, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and developing prototypes using Postman or similar tools
  • Extensive experience in extending Oracle cloud fusion application using PL/SQL, VBCS, APEX, Groovy, Java, BPM and Object workflows
  • Experience working in an agile environment and using data to drive product decisions
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and Project Management tools

Preferred

  • Certification in Oracle Fusion OCI and PaaS technologies
  • Experience implementing or supporting Zuora Billing and Rev-Pro
  • Experience with Payment Processors such as Cybersource or Adyen
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ or Apttus/Conga
  • Understanding of basic accounting, revenue recognition and financial reporting
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills, ability to think creatively with an innovative approach
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $151,800 - $245,150 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $145,800 - $205,950 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $145,800 - $214,350 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
