General Responsibilities |
Skills lab / Clinical Instructor responsibilities focus on education, supervision and evaluation of students in the clinical setting. He / She instruct students in the application of imaging and theories to clinical practice. Provides direct supervision through one-on-one clinical instruction as well as oversees clinical education for all students assigned to the clinical site. Provides student evaluation through direct observation of student performance and/or staff communication. Evaluates and documents student progress as required by program policies,
JRCERT standards and
ARRT requirements. Acts as a role model for students and a liaison between the school and clinical site. Provision of formal didactic instruction is optional. Other duties include career day presentations, shadow experiences, in-service coordination and presentation. |
Work Performed |
- Maintain an environment conducive to learning in the campus laboratories/clinical setting.
- Order supplies and maintain inventory and equipment with attention to cost and quality.
- Set up instructional equipment and supplies.
- Assist students in orienting to the laboratories and in practicing skills.
- Document basic skill competency through return demonstration of skills
- Oversee student activities in the campus laboratories.
- Assist students with computer software, hardware, and audiovisual materials.
- Provide orientation, direction and guidance to instructional assistants and adjunct faculty, in the Skills Lab.
- Provide updates to faculty regarding student laboratory activities.
- Maintain student records.
- Promote health careers at HCC.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Program Chair
