Position Title Pathways Completion Specialist (Pool)
FLSA Non-Exempt
FT/PT Part Time
Hours Per Week Up to 25 hours
Work Schedule Varies depending on department needs
Position Salary Range $30/hr
General Responsibilities
Pathways Completion Specialists in the Office of Completion Services with implementing the college's strategic plans related to academic standing and student completion. Pathways Completion Specialists may be assigned to an academic division, department, or specific program to provide content specific support for MSDE Career and Technical Education ( CTE) career clusters.
Work Performed
Pathway Completion Specialists are embedded within academic pathways and academic courses to support academic success. Pathway Completion Specialists will be expected to monitor Early Alerts for their assigned courses, work with students in academic jeopardy, refer students to appropriate support services, and provide knowledge about academic success skills.
Minimum Education Required Bachelor's degree

Other Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred, preferably in higher education, student affairs, counseling, social work, or academic discipline directly related a MSDE Career and Technical Education career cluster.
  • Experience working in advising, retention, or counseling within a college setting, community college experience preferred
  • Knowledge of current student success strategies
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Ability to prepare, compile, write and review reports
  • Excellent computer skills
