These responsibilities include the career development of salary and hourly employees, the establishment of departmental objectives, key process parameters, and the management of the budget. This individual should be a problem solver experienced in project, process and maintenance engineering. He/she should possess the ability to develop communication plans, lead work groups, and remove potential barriers in order to achieve goals and improve performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, preferred. Experience: A minimum of five years' experience in a project, process or maintenance engineering role (preferably in an FDA regulated environment) Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE: This position reports to the Manager, Plant Engineering. This position typically has several direct reports such as Stationary Engineers and Process Engineer. This position typically has several indirect reports such as Maintenance Mechanics and Utility Operators. WORKING CONDITIONS: Some time will be spent in an office environment with substantial time spent in the plant. Manufacturing areas are not climate controlled. During summer months, building exhaust fans provide ventilation but remain warm. Chemicals handled include acids and bases, organic solvents, and inorganic compounds. Chemicals may have characteristic odors or hazardous properties that require special handling and PPE.
