Job Description

The Director, Product Line Management is responsible for optical business across all Juniper products and market segments. It involves working with cross-functional teams such as sales, engineering, operations, supply chain, partners and customers to define, and execute the optical product strategy and growth initiatives.

What you'll do:



  • Drive product management activities for optical products including the full product life cycle management, optical vendor/partner management and forecasting
  • Write and prioritize product requirements, use case definitions and minimal viable product definition with cross functional product team
  • Research market requirements
  • Perform business case development, (financial modeling, pricing, forecasting)
  • Assist in managing Customer escalations
  • Participate with other product and marketing managers to establish strategic plans and objectives and to insure "go to market" strategies are developed, communicated, and executed
  • Analyze market and competitive trends
  • Analyze technology trends and customer inputs: ensure that product feature set reflects technology/industry trends
  • Work with engineering and program managers to ensure features are properly scheduled into software release cycles


Experience/skills:



  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or Related Engineering field
  • MBA or equivalent studies a plus
  • Optical/optics background
  • Analytical skills with experience using Excel
  • Basic financial skills
  • Excellent communications skills, presentation, collaboration and influencing capabilities


Other Information:



  • Travel requirements for the position: 20%



Minimum Salary: $179,200.00

Maximum Salary:$257,600.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $179,200.00 and $257,600.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
