Job Description Summary

Provides a variety of Occupational Health Services to ensure employees are functioning in optimal physical condition during their normal workday and are physically suited for their position. Performs care/treatment/counseling of employees in a manner which provides for employee privacy, confidentiality, physical and psychological well-being while conforming to Safety/Infection Control/Human Resources/and Employee Health policies with completion of related documentation. Ensures that each employee health record complies with requirements set forth by New York State Health Code 405 and Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standards. Ensures compliance with NYS Disability benefits, Family and Medical Leave Act and Workers' Compensation laws.

  • Occupational Health Nurse - RN - Overnight Mon - Thurs 6:00pm - 4:00am Salary Range -$59,535.00 - $95,256.00

    Essential Functions:

    Compliant Medical Monitoring Program

    Drug Testing Program Implemented Per Procedure

    Employee Health Records Maintained per Regulations

    Completes, submits and maintains accurate documentation and records in accordance with the standards of regulatory agencies and Mallinckrodt.

    Employees Receive Care Following Injury

    Assists with the assessment of the health status of individuals with medical emergencies and ensures that appropriate treatment is received.

    New Hires Medically Cleared to Start

    OSHA Log Maintained

    Incidents Reports to Workers' Compensation Carrier

    Minimum Requirements

    Education / Experience / Skills:

    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

    License/Certifications:

    Current NYS RN License

    Must obtain COHN or COHN-s Certification within 18 months.

    BLS

    Experience:

    Three to five (3-5) years of acute care nursing experience.

    Knowledgeable and practices safely using infection control, universal precaution and safety protocols.

    Works within the NYS Nurse Practice Act and State Educational Law article 139.

    Computer skills.
