We are on the lookout for a visionary Engineering Manager to spearhead key engineering and business initiatives that will shape our team's long-term objectives. This role is pivotal in recruiting and guiding a cadre of engineers tasked with crafting high-performance applications. As an Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to fulfill both strategic and tactical roadmaps. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Team Leadership: Build and oversee two teams of software engineers, nurturing career growth and fostering a strong team culture. Lead and mentor engineers of varying experience levels.
- Engineering Excellence: Establish high engineering standards and operational excellence. Guide the team in delivering incremental value to customers through effective administration of the agile development process.
- Communication and Collaboration: Ensure effective communication within your team, among peers, with senior leaders, and stakeholders. Collaborate with other teams and members to deconstruct complex challenges, refine designs, estimate engineering efforts, and develop work-back schedules.
- Strategic Enablement: Act as an enabler and force-multiplier for your team, empowering them to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
WHO YOU ARE
- Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams, with a proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing engineers.
- Engineering Experience: Over 7 years of direct involvement within engineering teams, coupled with at least 3 years of experience in designing or architecting systems focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
- Web Services Expertise: More than 8 years of experience in building enterprise grade software
- Comprehensive Engineering Knowledge: A deep understanding of engineering practices and patterns throughout the full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Product Development Leadership: Experience in spearheading product development alongside product or program management teams.
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 168,000.00 - $ 240,000.00
