Overview Responsible for initiating and maintaining regular contact with individuals in recovery in order to assist in improving access to and retention in care. Assists individuals in identifying and engaging with natural supports. This position requires an ability to uphold the principles of confidentiality. Responsibilities The Peer Recovery Supporter implements and supports the philosophy, mission, values, standards, policies and procedures of Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Patient Care Service Division.
Assess client needs and link clients to effective prevention and essential support services including housing, nutrition assistance, mental health and substance abuse treatment, employment services, and other needs as identified by the client Assist clients in recovery to navigate the community and recovery support services.
Qualifications KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Typing on computer Constantly (67-100%) Using phone Frequently (34-66%) Sitting Frequently (34-66%) Standing Occasionally (0-33%) Lifting Occasionally (0-33%) Walking Frequently (34-66%)Must be able to independently lift up to 25 lbs.
