Overview

Project Coordinator - Healthy Homes

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the organization and oversight of Healthy Homes projects that are assigned to them by the Executive Director. This role assists in the coordination of home repair programs in Linden and on the South Side as well as providing support on development projects, and/or any other duties related to the overall housing initiative that either the Executive Director or the Board of Directors deems necessary.

Responsibilities

* Assists in the coordination of 25-40 home repair projects per year, including: creating and distributing promotional materials, reviewing applications and selecting participants in accordance with guidelines, work with Contractors to develop individual scopes of work, and handle community requests, inquiries and complaints.
* Fills out and submits correct paperwork for contractor invoice payments, service agreements, and any other required documentation.
* Attends weekly walk-throughs of on-going construction projects with Project Managers.
* Completes various administrative tasks such as tax abatement applications, property insurance requests, Land Bank applications, funding applications and section 106 historic review forms.
* Manages or assists in managing 2-3 large-scale volunteer events per year.



Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, public administration, real estate, urban planning, or a related field is preferred. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, at least 2 years of professional experience in non-profit housing, real estate or construction management are preferred.

Licensure: Active Driver's License Certifications: Notary Public - or ability to become a Notary.

Skills:
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to create and interpret financial reporting documents.
* Detail oriented, organized, strong analytical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills necessary to relate to all levels of hospital staff, vendors, contractors, and the community at large.
* Must demonstrate a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and creativity.

Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in housing development including direct or support roles in acquisitions, design, financial projections, property management, community engagement and lease-up or sales.
