Summary: Onix is looking for a Business Systems Analyst for its cloud and Big Data projects in the Data Warehousing & Data Analytics domains experienced in Data Warehousing, ETL, relational database concepts, BI, cloud based data domain projects. Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid) The Business Analyst position works as a liaison among business operations, technology groups, clients, business partners, vendors, and enterprise project management offices to understand business requirements, analyze the data and assess the impacts of business changes as a result of strategic/tactical initiatives, operational changes, compliance requirements, client needs, and technology or operational improvements. Primary Responsibilities: This position will be primarily responsible for analysis and documentation to support Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing work stream for cloud projects to include:
Provide Health Insurance domain expertise to project team by bringing in experience on Insurance claim related data and sub domains like medical / pharmacy claims, authorizations, rebates, drug and alike Gather Business requirements and documentation of business requirements (BRD) Data analysis to assess the feasibility of the business requirements and also assess the impact analysis of the business requirements on the data. Gather integration requirements for data to include identification and assessment of data sources and creation of source/target mappings
Identifying and documenting data transformation logic Defining metadata and rules associated with data integration processes Adapting current integration processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements
Bridge the gap between technical team and the business team through the techno functional knowledge and experience of Data Warehousing and Healthcare Insurance domain Participate in data modeling and data visualizations that visually present complex data and/or metric relationships to users for exploration, analysis and action Deep business analysis, systems and data analysis on source data and identify common elements helping to drive a common unified data model and architecture Gather reporting requirements to analyze large dataset, identify issues, trend to drive results and solutions Participate and own the functional testing of data warehouse application and work with business stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing Help development team in developing data-driven solutions with Google Cloud technologies to meet evolving business needs
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Expert at Business Analysis and Data Analysis skills in Healthcare insurance domain
- Healthcare experience required
- Experience in gathering requirements from business users, translating in requirements to define business rules & objectives
- Hands-on experience in SQL with advanced level skills to perform data analysis to support the BA/DA tasks
- Knowledge and understanding in Data Warehouse and data modeling
- Experience using Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence tools such as DataStage / Informatica, GCP BigQuery, Tableau and SSRS, etc.
- Eight (8) or more years of experience with a proven experience in Data domains and ecosystems
- Willingness to continuously learn & share learnings with others
- Capability to collaborate with stakeholders, project leaders to understand requirements, deliverables, and set expectations accordingly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Experience working in an agile and collaborative team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience in Microsoft office tools
- Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a commitment to excellence and high standards
- Clear and early articulation of issues/challenges to the stakeholders.
