Overview The Quality Consultant collaborates with service line and unit leadership to develop, implement, and coordinate effective systems that improve patient outcomes and quality of care. Provides guidance in the areas of project management and quality improvement of the eight Pediatric Vital Signs (PVS) and supports the mission of Nationwide Children's Hospital by leading the performance improvements linked to the strategic plan. Supports Pediatric Vital Signs physician and operational leaders to enable success in improving care and health in the population while collaborating with Partners For Kids (PFK) to ensure alignment of quality improvement efforts. Responsibilities * Collaborates with service line leadership to design a quality improvement (QI) project portfolio to meet the hospital's strategic plan, service line performance goals, and Joint Commission standards. Provides project management, when needed, for PVS projects - facilitating cross-functional projects, building relationships, and setting goals to achieve desired outcomes. Participates in constant readiness program to ensure Joint Commission standards are always followed. Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's degree in engineering, healthcare, or business field. * Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification, or Project Management Professional (PMP) encouraged. * 2 years of experience in the quality improvement and/or process improvement fields, preferred * Supervision or project management experience, preferred EOE M/F/Disability/Vet Need help finding the right job?
