This is a full time Apprenticeship and will combine company paid education with full time on the job paid experience.

Communicates, sets-up assigned equipment, trouble shoots and makes corrective adjustments, trains, and provides work direction, as required.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Adjust or correct existing set-ups for all plating and cleaning related equipment.

Write and maintain Plating and Waste Treatment procedures and documents

Complete miscellaneous routine maintenance as required

Perform as a member of the HazMat response team

Assist in or create Preventative Maintenance schedules

Associates will be trained in and perform multiple work assignments.

Summary of Duties:

Maintain safe and clean work environment.

Measure, maintain and record plating parameters as specified and audit inspection duties

Communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers as required.

Correct employees when not following the proper procedures.

Report production and departmental activities through the use of computer software

Check supplies and turn in order sheets

Notify the Production Supervisor of issues that affect quality and environmental results. Must be able to operate and troubleshoot all equipment within the department. Assist in training other department personnel

Check the thickness of the plating

Follow prescribed procedures for preparing standard reports.

Performs functions related to hazardous and special waste management (labeling, storage, inspection, shipping)

Perform duties of Waste Treatment Operator with jobs 431 & 572

Monitors electronic (living) and paper documents entries

Assist in training other Plating Technicians.

Perform other miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (Provided by Strattec):

Basic General Wastewater and Subclass Unique Treatment Systems Licenses

Wastewater Journeyman Certification

Confined Space Entry Certification

OSHA 10 Certification

Hazmat Certification

Transition to Trainer Certification

First Aide CPR Certification

Good judgment, and decision-making. Ability to obtain precise limits, tolerances, and standards.

Ability to train up to 50% on shifts other than home shift.

Ability to take required classes for the apprenticeship program
