Halff has an opening for a Right of Way Agent to be a Relocation Specialist on our Right of Way team based out of our Corpus Christi, TX office. The ideal candidate would have at least 1 year of experience working Relocation in Right of Way along with a strong working knowledge of the Uniform Relocation Assistance Act for public sector projects. Right of Way Agent / Relocation Specialist Responsibilities:


  • Discuss relocation benefits and eligibility in compliance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance Act with those individuals that qualify, businesses and non- profit organizations.
  • Working knowledge of all notices that need to be sent out to potential and affected displaces in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance Act
  • Ability to perform replacement site inspections and verify all required relocation assistance forms have been explained and provided to displaces.
  • Assist with moving arrangements, analyze inventory, and identify and resolve personal property issues as well as coordinate and review move estimates.
  • Review moving cost estimates, submit appropriate claim forms/packages as required.
  • Monitor all required moves in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Request reviews and approvals for the submission of relocation claims and maintain files.
  • Assist other agents in the preparation of title curative matters for eminent domain filings.
  • Resolve title defects and document the correspondence with landowners.
  • Review appraisal reports and answer property owner questions concerning the methodology of establishing value.
  • Compose and assemble offer packages, counteroffer packets, conveyance documents, and any documents necessary to clear title.
  • Provide backup for closings, and other right of way work as needed by the ROW Team


Right of Way Agent / Relocation Specialist Requirements:


  • Strong working knowledge of the Uniform Relocation Assistance Act for public sector projects
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience working Relocation in Right of Way
  • Willing and able to travel
  • Right of Way Agent / Relocation Specialist Preferred Requirements:
  • Texas Real Estate License
  • Possess or pursuing IRWA Relocation certification
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual
