Halff has an opening for a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) to join our Roadway / Transportation team as Project Manager in our Fort Worth, TX location. As a Roadway / Transportation Project Manager at Halff, you will play a key role in managing and delivering transportation planning and design projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a specific focus on transportation projects in the consulting industry. Experience working with DOT (Department of Transportation), particularly TxDOT, and other public sector clients is highly desirable. Civil Engineer (PE) Project Manager - Roadway / Transportation Responsibilities:


  • Manage a design team and coordinate with clients to ensure successful project delivery
  • Oversee transportation planning and/or design projects
  • Demonstrate proficiency in managing personnel, budgets, schedules, sub-consultants, and client interactions
  • Utilize strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Maintain a positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and prioritize quality, integrity, and success


Civil Engineer (PE) Project Manager - Roadway / Transportation Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Texas PE license required (or able to obtain within 6 months from start date)
  • 6-15 years of experience in transportation project delivery
  • Design Experience on DOT (Department of Transportation) projects (advanced planning and/or PS&E), TxDOT preferred,
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, and supervise technical staff
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success.
