Senior Project Manager - Public Works/Land Development - McAllen, TX
Halff has an immediate opening in our McAllen office for a Senior Civil Professional Engineer with 12 or more years of experience in Public Works or Land Development. This position requires strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities. This position will have a large amount of autonomy in managing other professional engineers, engineers-in-training, and CAD designers. Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing public works and land development projects. The ideal candidate will bring a breadth of civil engineering experience with a firm grasp of managing multiple projects. The candidate should have 12 years or more of experience in utility and public works design and be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D CAD. Good technical writing and communication skills are required. The candidate must be proficient in project management, administration and supervision. The ability to work in a team environment with various disciplines is essential. A positive attitude and self-directed approach are also required.
The successful candidate should be community-minded with the capacity to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of young engineers, make independent decisions, resolve complex problems, engage in business development and client management.
Requirements:


  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE License in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in utility and public works design
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D CAD experience preferred
  • Good technical writing and communication skills
  • Must be proficient in project management, administration and supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment with various disciplines
  • Must be self-directed yet a team player, and have focus on quality, integrity and success
