Halff has an opening for a Senior Roadway Engineer, with their Texas PE License, to be a Senior Project Manager on our Roadway / Transportation team based out of our Richardson, TX location. The ideal candidate will have TxDOT PS&E development experience in the consulting industry and/or experience working for TxDOT directly. The successful candidate should have experience coordinating with clients and leading delivery of Roadway / Transportation Design PS&E projects. Senior Roadway Engineer (PE) / Senior Project Manager - Transportation TxDOT PS&E Responsibilities:
- Works under a Roadway Engineer (PE) Team Leader in the development of TxDOT Roadway Design and PS&E
- Manages transportation projects or tasks in support of business needs
- Assists in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT's, and technical staff
- Assists in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules
- Reviews transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency
- Reports on project progress
- Collaborates with clients and other consultants
- Assists with project pursuits and business development activities
Senior Roadway Engineer (PE) / Senior Project Manager - Transportation TxDOT PS&E Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in TxDOT Roadway / Transportation PS&E project delivery
- TxDOT experience (as a TxDOT employee or consultant) is a must.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas
- Experience managing TxDOT Roadway / Transportation PS&E projects and plan production
- ORD experience
- Ability to manage a project, and supervise technical staff
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success.
