Halff has an immediate opening for a Senior Roadway Engineer, with a Texas PE License, to be a Project Manager with our Roadway / Transportation team based out of Richardson, TX office. The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of TxDOT transportation advance planning, schematic design and/or environmental design project experience in the consulting industry. Senior Project Manager (PE) - TxDOT Advance Planning / Schematic / Environmental Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Transportation Team Leader in the development and delivery of TxDOT transportation advance planning, schematic and/or environmental design projects
- Performs complex transportation engineering tasks and leads other professional staff in the development of transportation projects
- Manages other consultant teams and the workload of design staff including Engineers, EIT's, and technical staff that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways
- Coordinate with clients and lead delivery of transportation planning project development.
- Manage personnel, budgets, schedules, sub consultants and client interaction.
- Work closely with the region's transportation director and transportation practice leader in business development activities.
Senior Project Manager (PE) - TxDOT Advance Planning / Schematic / Environmental Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- A minimum of 10 years of Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) project experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in advance planning, schematic and/or environmental design project delivery
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas
- Ability to manage multiple projects, and supervise technical staff
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
- Senior Project Manager (PE) - TxDOT Advance Planning / Schematic / Environmental Preferred Requirements:
- Contacts/relationships within TxDOT
- Experience with public involvement and public speaking
- Understanding of the NEPA/Environmental process
- Project pursuits/proposals/interviews
