Civil Engineer - Public Infrastructure - Houston, TX

Halff Associates has an immediate opening in our Houston office for a Civil Engineer (Engineer-in-Training/E.I.T. or Professional Engineer/P.E.). The ideal candidate will bring civil engineering experience with a focus on municipal roadway, drainage, and pedestrian facility design in the consulting industry and/or experience with, or for, public sector clients. This position offers an excellent career development opportunity for someone looking to grow with Halff, with the potential for not only business and personal growth, but ownership in the firm. We will provide mentorship to further advance the candidates career development. The candidate should demonstrate ownership and eagerness to learn and develop.

Civil Engineer - Public Infrastructure Candidates must have:

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in the engineering industry
Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas, or able and willing to obtain one of these within 6 months of start date
Experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation
Understanding of basic public infrastructure design
Ability to manage projects or smaller pieces of larger projects
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to interact with clients and mentor technical staff
A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
