Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to provide vulnerability assessment support for Fort Johnson. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Respond to threats and emergency security incidents.
  • Assist in developing solutions or improvements to prevent malicious activity.
  • Communicate security information to fellow analysts and customers.
  • Perform engineering, system administration, or network manager functions with privileged access to control, manage, or configure information systems.
  • Assist the Government in completing work involving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems, security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Review applications, scans and maintenance of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Government in leading post-wide security initiatives that enhance overall network defense in depth, including DoD-mandated requirements in addition to local initiatives.
  • Participate in planning and supports security engineering for new projects.
  • Execute cybersecurity requirements considering cyber security configuration implementation strategies that consider the operational environment, mission, criticality, and application requirements.


Qualifications

3+ years experience in information and cyber security. Must be Security+ CE certified. Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute Standards and Technologies (NIST) Special Publication 800-53. Knowledge and experience communicating cyber security concepts to technical and non-technical personnel. Able to develop technical documents and produce system design documentation. Knowledge of DoD and Army A&A requirements and processes, including RMF and eMASS. Knowledge in application and evaluation of DISA STIGs for supported IT. Possess excellent technical writing, critical thinking/analytical, oral and written communication skills. Knowledge and experience communicating IA concepts to technical and non-technical personnel. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
