Registered Nurse-Endoscopy

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an Exciting Potential Opportunity for a Registered Nurse-Endoscopy supporting Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH.

Job Requirements:

Degree/Education: HCW must have graduated from an Associate Degree (ADN) or a Baccalaureate Degree (BSN) program in nursing accredited by a national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
• Licensure: Unrestricted, and current registered nurse license. Continuing education must be current.
• Certifications: BLS, & ACLS through American Heart association
• Experience: 2 years in the last 4

Duties:

• Procedures such as EGDs and Colonoscopies to ambulatory, acute and chronic patients. Performs and documents assessments, observation, physical examination, test results, and patient responses to procedural intervention.
• Meet patients physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, acting as liaison with the physicians.
• Independently determines and initiate emergency measures such as ACLS and BLS for life threatening conditions.
• Conduct health education on treatments, illnesses, and medications.
• Coordinating and Administering therapeutic IV treatments and infusions.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
• Effectively uses appropriate communication format in addressing professional issues.
• Ability to perform clinical nursing duties such as telephone consults through telephone triage and reporting patient's pathological procedure results, while at the Medical Center
