Dental Assistant

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.

• Possess a Dental Assistant certification recognized by the U.S. Department of Education accreditation programs.

• Minimum 6 months experience as a dental assistant, or 6 months military dental assistant training and experience.

• Experience with taking dental radiographs, maintaining dental equipment, and assisting dentist in patient treatment.

• Must comply with health requirements such as immunizations and annual TB screening.
• Estimated yearly salary of $48,000.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist dentists during dental procedures.
• Prepare patients for dental procedures.
• Sterilize dental instruments.
• Maintain patient records.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Manage dental office inventory and order supplies.
• Perform administrative duties including orientation, quality improvement programs, clinical/administrative data collection, meetings, and training.
• Participate in additional training as required by the Medical Treatment Facility.
