Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $62,400 - $66,560/year Shift: 2nd Hours: 1:30pm - 10:00pm (Monday - Friday) Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician at a company in Waukegan, IL. This is a direct hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now! Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: - Perform maintenance and repair on material handling and packing equipment - Implement and install equipment, production lines and custom solutions - Diagnose, repair or adjust machines during production runs - Verify line clearances and setups to ensure quality standards are met - Perform comprehensive electrical diagnosis and wiring - Repair and rebuild materials handling and packaging equipment as needed - Perform and close out work order requests within CMMS software via computer or tablet - Review production schedule and perform machine set-up, tear-down, and necessary adjustments - Lead production changeovers and setups - Perform preventative maintenance checks during production and take appropriate corrective action - Order, catalog, and track materials, tools, and parts inventory necessary for maintenance and operations - Operate a variety of hand and power tools - Perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures per company procedures Requirements for Maintenance Technician: - At least five years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment - High School Diploma or GED preferred - Experience with packaging machinery desired - Computer literacy is a plus (email, reports, CMMS, and WO management) - Excellent organization and communication skills - Knowledge of basic hand tools - Able to read SDS and follow instructions on the labels of all SDS chemicals in English QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
