Description
Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Senior Project Designer to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will provide security design engineering support for Utility Vertical opportunities, customers, and projects. This will be mainly focused around large, complex, multi-site projects in support of both sales efforts and operational deployment. The role has responsibility for three key functions (1) providing security consulting services to Convergint customers or prospects, (2) developing customer and sub-vertical specific security standards, templates, design guides both as a sold service and in order to enable our CTCs (Convergint Technology Centers - branches) and our design teams to design consistently for customers across multiple CTCs and regions, (3) provide design services with a focus on regulatory compliance and serve as an electronic security industry SME (subject matter expert) to our customers and our sales teams, and (4) oversee and support the delivery of the highest levels of production (drawing and design) from our design engineering team. The role will interface with business development teams, account executives, project designers and project managers. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in computer, electrical engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience. Minimum Experience: 5-7 years of prior security design engineering or project management experience. Preferred Experience: (but not required):
