Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $28.00 - $32.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:00am - 1:30pm We are currently hiring in our Maintenance department to add to our 1st shift Maintenance team in Glendale, WI. The Maintenance Technician will be a self-motivated individual whose primary responsibility is to complete preventative maintenance and daily repairs. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: - Perform general and preventive maintenance work on shop equipment to ensure minimal equipment downtime, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics on manual and CNC machines - Read and interpret equipment manuals, basic prints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service - Troubleshoot and repair machines and general operational problems - Manage general facility upkeep (including grass cutting and snow removal) - Monitor inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies, reordering as needed - Manage recycling activities for paper and cardboard according to procedures - Follow and comply with all safety rules, regulations, and work instructions Requirements for Maintenance Technician: - High School Diploma or GED - 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; PLC maintenance preferred - Machining experience is a plus - Strong mechanical aptitude and proven problem-solving skills - Basic plumbing, lighting and electrical knowledge - Experience working with 240 and 480 voltage machines - Excellent attendance - Able to work independently on assigned tasks and delegate work appropriately to maintenance team - Able to lift up to 50lbs - Able to continuously perform work standing, squatting, and kneeling QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
